Did you know? Early voting for Vermont’s state primary election begins on June 27th.

August 11, 2020 is the date for Vermont’s statewide primary. November 3rd is the magic date for our national general election.

Also: 

• Did you know that Vermont has a motor-voter law? It was signed into law in 2016 by then-Gov. Shumlin.

• Did you know that prisoners can vote from prison in Vermont (and Maine)?

• Did you know that, as of 2017, in Vermont you can register to vote up to and including Election Day? 

• You can also register online, but it takes 2-4 weeks and you have to send in your ID. 

• Early and absentee ballots are available starting June 27th, and due back to the Town Clerk by 5 p.m. the day before the election. 

• Some of the offices’ candidates being whittled down include those for:

  • Representative to United States Congress

  • Vermont Governor

  • Vermont Lieutenant Governor, State Treasurer, Secretary of State, Auditor, Attorney General, State Senator, State Representative, and High Bailiff
